The Seasons of Composting

If you remember the 4 seasons rule, composting will be easy.

Spring:  Kick of the new year by adding some soil to your composter. Dig out any finished compost from the bottom of the composter and use it in your garden.

Summer:
Stir frequently and cover with leaves. Don’t forget to add water if your compost looks dry.

Fall: Clean out your composter and dig the finished material into your garden.

Winter: With the cold weather the material in your composter can decompose slower. Just fill it up and wait until the warmer weather.
